And creepy. I love pressing on the Ravens and skulls. You must turn the music on and listen with ear buds or phones, preferably notice cancelling. Best read when alone at midnight during a thunderstorm on an iPad, unplugged so you can enjoy the story that much more when the electricity flashes and fails leaving no light except from the dying embers of the fireplace.

Awesome app, but crashes ALOT

Poe has always been dear to my heart, as has classic lit, and I love how this beautifully illustrated interactive iBook makes classics like Poe accessible to new generations of readers.

I wish you could touch a word and learn the meaning. It will be a useful way to learn vocabulary.

Poes writing was always steeped in dread. The protagonist was always in a state of nervous exhaustion, as one who has been terrified for so long that all that was left was a surrender to death and decay. The skill of the illustrations perfectly realize the essence of Poe. Be sure to save the Masque for last and touch each image.

This is an awesome app. Beautiful design. Creepy illustrations. Haunting music. Aside from being a Poe fan since my early teen years and the enjoyment of rereading these stories in this format, I also used the app during Halloween night. I placed the iPad by the front door and had the Oval Portrait music and the occasional wolf howl playing as the kids came to the door.

Fantastic animations with fantastic stories . . . each work together to bring the story to life.

The story was great. I wish it was longer :/ and maybe had more interactive things to do. I finished the whole "episode 1" in less than 30 min. Not sure if its worth 3$.

This app is an entirely different and exciting way to experience the terrifying literary works of Edgar Allan Poe! It makes me jump out of my skin!

If youre a Edgar Allan Poe fan, then you need to get this app! It has its kitschy moments, but reading his stories and poems with graphics and music is a whole new exciting experience! Its definitely worth it.

I was very impressed by this app. So much so that I went and bought the rest of them. The music and imagery really bring these stories to life. I found myself being more and more drawn in with every flip of the page.

Wish they had this in K12

Getting these books for the price is well worth it. The art and being able to interact is so greatly fun.
